Privacy Policy

EmberSeek: Room-by-Room Finder (“EmberSeek”) · Effective October 26, 2026

Short version: EmberSeek does not collect, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything the app does happens on your iPhone.

Bluetooth

EmberSeek asks for Bluetooth permission so it can listen for the short signals (“advertisements”) that nearby Bluetooth devices broadcast. From those signals the app reads the device name if one is broadcast, a device identifier assigned by iOS, the manufacturer ID and the signal strength. This information is processed only on your iPhone, only while the app is open, and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Saved devices

If you save a device, its name, type, your optional note, and the time and signal strength when it was last heard are stored locally on your iPhone. You can edit or remove saved devices at any time, and they are deleted when you delete the app. We have no access to this information.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app uses Apple's StoreKit on your device to check whether your subscription is active. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Data we collect

None. EmberSeek contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporting or advertising libraries, and it does not use your location.

Children

EmberSeek does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
